As our home is a 1970’s era DIY money pit, we sometimes have need for something more substantial than a demo bar, a regular hammer, and a sawzall.
I work in an industry where larger sledges are needed and used, but I’m not as young as I once was, and having something more manageable around the house is nice.
This sledge runs true to the listed 4lb weight, and construction seems quite good. The rubberized handle allows for easy grip, and balance is good. Balance in a big deal with sledges, as the game is to get it moving, then allow inertia to handle the demolition.
This will be great for removing old drywall, beating dents out of metal, or tearing down old fences on our property. Also useful for driving stakes, etc.
I’d bet this will the last sledge we ever need for home use.

solid product. been using my iron core sledgehammer for a few months now and it is crazy durable. this hammer is great value for money and worth it because its so long lasting. Never need to worry about my hammer breaking or the hammer head flying off ever again. after going through so many hammers i am pumped to find a product that is well priced and long lasting.
